Beer 6 - Thwaites, Lancaster Bomber

Today's beer is Thwaites, Lancaster Bomber. This was one of the first ales which was sent to me to review for my new book. Real Ale Of Britain

Thwaites, Lancaster Bomber
ABV : 4.4%

Looks : Coppery colour which pours with light carbonation with a slight larger bubble off white head.

Aroma : Strong hop smell, slightly metallic, grassy with a hint of caramel malt

Flavour : Toffee/caramel notes on the palate at first sharply followed by a grassy hop bite. There is a fruity hop taste possibly plums with a bread crust earthiness

Finish :  Nice long bitterness with a citrus tinge to it

Rating : 8.5 out of 10

Once again another fantastic ale by Thwaites. This ale is available in many supermarkets at a reasonable price.
