Beer 4 Thwaites, Bottle Conditioned Tavern Porter

Thwaites, Bottle Conditioned Tavern Porter
Tonight i am reviewing this truly exceptional  ale by Thwaites. What drew me towards this ale was the word bottled conditioned, as there are not many bottle conditioned  porters on the market at present.

Thwaites, Bottle Conditioned Tavern Porter
ABV : 4.7%

Looks : Deep brownish/ruby black pour with a thin tan milky coffee coloured head

Aroma : Licorice on the nose with a balanced smokiness. Dark chocolate and malty coffee aroma
Flavour : Roasted malts, coffee, burnt bread crust, smokey liquorice, and bitter chocolate

Finish :  Dry, roasted malt with a bitter chocolate finish

Rating : 10 out of 10

This for me has to be one of the best porters ever produced especially by a big brewery. The beer is full of flavour with a smooth silkiness to it. Well done Thwaites and i hope you start bottle conditioning more of your ales.
